 El Aguila, Spanish for ‘The Eagle’, is 230 feet long with a dual-deck cargo area. Its final voyage was a run from Puerto Cortes to Haiti, carrying a cargo of concrete. The El Aguila was purpose sunk in 1997, it was upright in 110 feet of water. In October 1998, Hurricane Mitch arrived and battered the north shore, breaking it into 3 pieces.  El Aguila sits a short boat ride from the AKR dock, protected by garden eels.

 This is the wreck of the King Cruiser in Phuket, Thailand. Video ran a bit long, but was too cool to cut more.  MS King Cruiser was a car ferry of that sank off the West Coast of Southern Thailand on 4 May 1997. The ferry was operating between Phuket and the Phi Phi Islands in southern Thailand when she hit a submerged collection of rocky pinnacles at the dive site of Anemone Reef, 10 miles off Phi Phi Island.
